'Backyard Farmer' TV ratings best in program's history

As "Backyard Farmer" enters its 60th year, it has something else to celebrate. Ratings for the garden show reached an all-time high this year. May sweeps reached 23,500 households, which was about a 46 percent increase in audience statewide. The show was has averaged 14,000 households since 2007. Continue reading…

After receiving a letter signed by faculty, students and alumni, Chancellor Harvey Perlman issued the following message outlining his views on the rights of individuals to engage in public protest free of "repressive" force. Entomologists win national award

Tom Hunt and Bob WrightUNL entomology faculty Tom Hunt and Bob Wright were part of a group of scientists who received the 2011 Integrated Pest Management Team Award from the Entomological Foundation. This award was presented at the 2011 Entomological Society of America annual meeting, Nov. 14 in Reno, Nev.
