"Mamma Mia!," the smash-hit musical based on the songs by the mega-selling, 1970s Swedish pop group ABBA, returns to the Lied Center for Performing Arts for four performances, Feb. 2-4.

The show, written by ABBA members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, is celebrating its 10th year among Broadway's most popular musicals. The current North American tour has played more than 3,700 performances in more than 150 cities.

"Mamma Mia!" tells the story of Sophie's quest to find the identity of her father so he can walk her down the aisle. Over the course of 24 chaotic, magical hours, new love blooms and old romances rekindle on a lush island full of possibilities.

Inspired by ABBA's songs — from "Dancing Queen" and "S.O.S." to "Money, Money, Money" and "Take a Chance on Me" — "Mamma Mia!" is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found.

Lied Center performances for "Mamma Mia!" are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 through 4, with a 2 p.m. matinee Feb. 4.

Tickets, $49, $55 and $60, can be purchased at http://www.liedcenter.org, at the Lied box office, or by calling 402-472-4747.
