Animal exhibitors (4-H ages 10–18, FFA ages 10–21) are eligible to participate at the Nebraska State Fair regardless of county fair placing. By Wednesday, June 15: breeding and market livestock nominations must be entered and paid at https://showstockmgr.com (step-by-step instructions are online at https://go.unl.edu/sfnomination) and DNA envelopes must be submitted to the Lancaster County Extension office (only required for market animals).
The Nebraska 4-H Livestock Achievement Program recognizes Members of Excellence in the project areas of beef, sheep, meat goat, swine, dairy cattle, dairy goat, rabbit and poultry. The program consists of two age levels (10–13 and 14–18) that require 4-H’ers to plan and report a range of project-related accomplishments. Apply by June 15. 4-H/FFA exhibitors can get free 4-H/FFA entry pass hangtags for their immediate families at the Extension office (available now through July 29) or Extension 4-H fair, horse and livestock offices at the Lancaster Event Center Fairgrounds (available during the 4-H/FFA portion of the fair). These entry passes allow one vehicle and its occupants to enter the fairgrounds each day Thursday, July 28–Saturday, Aug. 6. Your hangtag will be honored all 10 days of Super Fair! The 4-H/FFA Sheep Show and Meat Goat Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair will switch order. The Sheep Show will now start at 1 p.m., and the Meat Goat Show will start 15 minutes after the Sheep Show. Both will be on Thursday, July 29 in Pavilion 1 Arena.
