Horse Awards Night, Oct. 2

Horse awards presentation includes the incentive awards (pictured are the 2013 silver level recipients).The annual Lancaster County 4-H Horse Awards Night will be Thursday, Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Rd., Lincoln. The Horse VIPS Committee will provide snacks. Awards presentation includes Incentive Awards, Horsemanship Levels and All-Around Awards.

 

National 4-H Week is Oct. 5-11

National 4-H says, "We know that 4-H youth are making extraordinary changes in their communities every day. Now it's time to share their faces with the world."Express your 4-H pride with this year’s National 4-H week theme, “#iam4H.” From October 5-11 post a picture of yourself with your #iam4H sign on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, along with the #iam4H and #4HWeek hashtags.

 

Leader Training, Oct. 16

Extension Associate Tracy Anderson will lead the 4-H Leader Training on Oct. 24.All 4-H leaders and volunteers helping with clubs and independent members are encouraged to attend the Fall 4-H Update on Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. Rabbit Clinic, Oct. 18

A session at the 4-H Fall Rabbic Clinic will be how to judge rabbits. Pictured are 4-H'ers judging rabbits at the 2014 Lancaster County Super Fair.A free 4-H Rabbit Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 18, 9 a.m.-12 noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center will be a great opportunity to learn about the 4-H Rabbit Program. TSC Paper Clover Fundraiser

The fall 2014 4-H Paper Clover Campaign will take place Oct. 8-19. Shoppers at both Lincoln Tractor Supply Company stores will have the opportunity to support 4-H by purchasing paper clovers for a $1 or more at checkout. All funds raised will be donated to 4-H.

 

NaturePalooza, Sep. 30

Wildlife Club members help a young visitor identify an animal skull.UNL's School of Natural Resources free NaturePalooza Sept. 30, 3-8 p.m. at Hardin Hall will give families the opportunity to see wildlife up close, cast for bass, call for turkeys, learn to make your yard a wildlife habitat, and more!
