Fall Conference, 4-H Program Share Days, and January Inservice provide a great opportunity to connect face-to-face with colleagues from across the state. But how do we continue to keep great conversation going amongst team members from all areas of the state? Join the NEW Nebraska 4-H Slack Workspace!

Slack is a messaging web site/app and resembles an online bulletin board space. The NEW Nebraska 4-H Slack Workspace is intended specifically for Nebraska Extension 4-H professionals, including educators, assistants, and staff. You are invited to join the conversations, ask questions, share resources and ideas, or simply get to know your colleagues across the state.

How do you begin?
1) Visit http://go.unl.edu/join4hslack and sign up with your work email; this invitation link is also shared on the Employee Resources page at 4h.unl.edu.
2) Download the Slack apps for desktop (and mobile if you prefer).
3) Set up your profile.
4) Manage your email preferences; you can have all messages shared on Slack sent directly to your email inbox, if you prefer – otherwise, the desktop version notifies you of when messages have been shared.
5) Browse channels (#4hwatercooler, #marketing, #pd, #policy, and #programs) and contribute to the conversation.
6) Learn more about working in channels at https://slack.com/resources/slack-101/lesson-4-working-in-channels!

Questions or feedback? If you have questions about the NEW Nebraska 4-H Slack workspace, please post in the #4hwatercooler channel on Slack or send an email to Tracy Pracheil at tpracheil2@unl.edu or Danielle Dewees at ddewees@unl.edu. If you have general questions about Slack, their Help Center at https://slack.com/help is a great resource.
