The Fall Living Room Learning team is currently looking for presenters! Living Room Learning will be hosted every other Tuesday at 2pm beginning September 8 and ending November 17, 2020. Monthly themes have been selected to better suit Nebraska Content Area Standards, with the intention of making the content more accessible and relevant to classroom teachers looking to enrich their virtual learning plans.
Below is a list of dates that are currently available, in addition to the monthly themes. If you have interest in presenting a hands-on, minds-on activity during a date below, please complete the linked LRL Presentation Proposal form by Tuesday, September 8 to be considered. The LRL team will then sort through submissions and alert selected presenters on Wednesday, September 9.
· Tuesday, September 22 – Environmental Education
· Tuesday, October 6 – STEM
· Tuesday, October 20 – STEM
· Tuesday, November 3 – Healthy Living or Civic Engagement
· Tuesday, November 17 – Healthy Living

As you complete the Presentation Proposal Form, a few things to keep in mind…
· The targeted range for LRL youth participants is grades 3-5, but we often see younger and older youth joining; keep this in mind when selecting your lesson.
· We aim to limit LRL to about 45-50 minutes. Please select an activity that can be completed by youth within 30 minutes.
· Learning objectives will be shared for every session to help connect them to state standards. Please have these available when completing the form.
· For lesson materials, we suggest using simple items that can be found at home or easily purchased from a local store. Please have this list ready when completing the form.
· Teaching a lesson virtually is different than teaching it in-person; keep this in mind when planning.
