If you are looking for a quick, easy, and fun educational program over the holiday break, the YEBO team has got you covered! We’ve put together an “at-home” edition of our GooseChase hunt. This is perfect for the holiday break or for the coming winter months. There is no cost to utilize this game.
The at-home edition can be set up for individuals, or siblings could participate as a family team. Decide on a time frame that works for you (1 hour, one afternoon or one day, etc.) and customize the game missions if you’d like!
We’ll share a GooseChase tool kit with you that will provide additional information and help you prepare. A sample newsletter blurb is included below. Holiday Break Scavenger Hunt (sample newsletter blurb)
Get your “fun on” during the holiday break with this at-home scavenger hunt and conquer any holiday boredom or cold weather blues! Youth will complete “missions” around your home to earn points and will be competing against others in the game. Youth may join the game as individuals or join with their siblings as a family team! Each individual player or team will need a mobile device.
We will be utilizing the free “GooseChase” app for this activity with up to 25 missions for you to complete. To add to the fun of the hunt, the app features a LIVE feed where you can see what other individuals or teams are accomplishing, all while learning more about entrepreneurship, starting a business, and becoming creative thinkers!
Ready to participate? Download the GooseChase App on a mobile device and check it out. Participate in the scavenger hunt when it works best for your family using the game code provided. The game will be open (insert date/time). It is anticipated the hunt may take around an hour to complete depending on how many missions you choose to complete. Tips for the Holiday Break Scavenger Hunt:
● Creativity is encouraged as you enter a team name when you join the game!
● In addition to mobile devices, some helpful items to have ready: paper, pencils/markers.
● When you sign into the game, “enable notifications” so we can send messages to you.
● You don’t have to do the missions in order. There may be some you want to do and others you don’t. You will receive points for each mission you complete.
● For each mission, you can submit one video or picture per mission, or you will type in an answer. The mission will tell you what you need to do. If you don’t like the photo or video you submitted, go into “completed” missions, and you can delete it and resubmit.
● Important! Be sure to complete the last mission in the game!
