We are excited to share with you the 2023 4-H Reading Connections resources. This year’s theme is “All Together Now”, following the Collaborate Summer Library Program theme and incorporating 4-H programing. The 4-H Reading Connections resources engage youth in extended 4-H learning opportunities.

Since 2014, a team of Nebraska Extension staff from several focus areas, including 4-H Youth Development, Learning Child, & Food, Nutrition and Health, collaborated to bridge the Collaborative Summer Library Program theme with 4-H resources.

The Nebraska 4-H Reading Connections Resources are adaptable lessons, with the following in all 4-H components:
• Grade Levels: K-6thGrade
• Lesson Length: Approximately 60 minutes
• Careers connection
• Relation to one of the 4-H “Hs”
• Learning Objectives
• Materials List
• Continue the Learning in 4-H
• Resources
• Movement ideas
• Book suggestions
• Variety of activities

The 4-H Reading Connections Resources can be downloaded after completing a short survey.
