The dates for Click2Engineering’s Fall Community of Practice will be September 14 through October 26. Registration is open and free! Great for any educator or volunteer who works with youth doing engineering or STEM projects. Each session is focused on a different engineering or teaching practice. Sessions are highly interactive and often involve engineering activities you can take back and use in your programs immediately.
September 14: Using a Systematic Engineering Design Process – See how engineers make use of a systematic engineering design process to generate solutions. Designing functional, and safe solutions requires structured, data-driven design, analysis, and testing. The engineering design process helps engineers approach each problem in a systematic way.
September 28: Applying Math and Science Knowledge 1- Learn how engineers use their knowledge of science, math and other area to solve problems – with a focus on applying math knowledge.
October 12: Applying Math and Science Knowledge 2 – Learn how engineers use their knowledge of science, math and other area to solve problems – with a focus on applying science knowledge.
October 26: Engineering Educator Talk Moves - Learn about research-supported ways of talking with youth about their engineering designs.
