As a part of the 4-H Beyond Ready initiative, working to reach 10 million young people annually with 4-H programs by 2030, National 4-H recently announced three Tentpole Moment Activations that will be observed throughout the year.
The tentpole moments are designed to provide key points in time for 4-H to elevate its collective voice to share our Beyond Ready story and rally our supporters and stakeholders. The tentpole moments will be the same for the next several years and we will build on the success each year.
In Nebraska, we will join 4-H programs across the country in observing the Tentpole Moment Activations. The first Tentpole Moment, Signing Season, will be observed between April 25 – May 25. These are optional ways you may locally observe Signing Season in your county:
- Activate with local event(s) of 4-H graduates signing a certificate and sharing their pathway forward in front of friends and family. This can be added to an existing event.
- Ask youth and alumni to share on social media "How it started; How it's going." Examples of this social media trend will be shared through National 4-H accounts.
National 4-H will be providing additional resources to assist with the promotion of the Tentpole Moment Activations, which will be made available later this month.
