A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Update Session is scheduled for early October in Scottsbluff. It will be held October 4th, 9am to noon, at the Panhandle Research & Extension Center. The early bird deadline to register for the Update training is September 24th.
The time has come to provide an update for all Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors who received their training in 2018 or 2019. Over the years there have been curriculum changes, updates, and additions, in addition to revisions in the Nebraska 4-H policies.
This Update Session is for adult or apprentice 4-H volunteer instructors who have previously attended a 4-H instructor training workshop in 2018 or 2019. This is an update for existing instructors, NOT a training for new instructors. You MUST be a currently enrolled Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports volunteer leader in your county to attend.
A Shotgun, Pistol, Rifle, and Archery discipline update will be offered during the morning session. Registration is at 8:30am and the program starts at 9am. Lunch is provided at noon.
There is a minimum number of participants needed to offer these discipline sessions. Participants will learn under expert instruction from members of the Nebraska State 4-H Shooting Sports Training Team.
Registration fee must be paid by September 29th. Early bird registration by September 24th is $45 for the session. Late registration fee, after September 24th, is $65. Fee includes program materials and lunch for the Update session. It does not include lodging.
