Spring is in full bloom, making May the perfect time for youth to learn about the creatures that help our plants and ecosystems thrive. This month’s Spark Start highlights May activities on CLOVER by 4-H focused on the power of pollinators.

Youth in grades K-12 can discover the important role pollinators – like ants, bats, bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds – play in helping plants grow and supporting the growth of the foods we eat. Through fun, hands-on learning experiences, young people will explore how these small but mighty creatures make a big difference in the health of our environment.

These engaging activities are easy to use in homes, classrooms, clubs, or afterschool programs, helping spark curiosity about nature while building science knowledge and environmental awareness.

Invite youth to explore the fascinating world of pollinators this month and see how they help our planet flourish.
