Need Support? Undergraduate BIPOC Therapy Group

If you'd like to join the group please read the following information:

Since this is classified as a therapy group, each group member needs to be an official patient at CAPS, which just consists of having an open file and having completed an Initial Evaluation appointment. These appointments are everyone’s first stop with CAPS. Its an opportunity for you to sit with a clinician for about 45 minutes and express what mental health needs you have and how you’d like help addressing them.

Call CAPS and ask to complete an Initial Evaluation (IE). The CAPS phone number is 402-472-7450. These appointments are scheduled on a same-day basis, so call on a day when you might have some open time.

At this appointment, you’d share with the clinician that you’re interested in the Undergrad BIPOC group and they’ll get you hooked up with Falesa Ivory-Horton or Derrick Moeller the facilitators.

You can request your IE to be done with one of those two in order to speed up the process of joining the group. They can gather all group-related information at that meeting as well.

If you have completed an Initial Evaluation in the past year, you can just ask to meet with the clinician you saw most recently instead of completing another Initial Evaluation.

The group is currently meeting over zoom on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 pm.
