On behalf on the Iranian Student Organization of UNL, I am reaching out to you to inform you that people in our country (Iran) are fighting in the streets, are being beaten, shot and brutally killed over the nationwide protests for Mahsa Amini, a 22-years-old woman who has been killed by the so-called morality police because of non-compliance of her hijab with government standards; and during the last couple of days, internet has been shut down in most regions of Iran because the government wants to suppress the protests.
In this regard, we are going to hold a peaceful demonstration to express our supports for our people who are protesting for women's rights, in our home country of Iran. This peaceful demonstration will be held on Wednesday the 28th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in front of the City Campus Union. Your support and attendance will be highly appreciated. We, as the Iranian students studying outside of our home country, are trying our best to be the voice of those who are suffering in these difficult times.
