The Juan N. Franco Legacy Scholarship

The scholarship is now open and will be closed on March 20th.
The Juan N. Franco Legacy Scholarship, formerly known as the Hope for the Future Scholarship, was created in the Fall of 2016. Students who led the creation of the scholarship believed in the importance of quality higher education. Through education, students are given the opportunity to become productive and informed members of our community. Unfortunately, many undocumented and DACAmented students are unable to access state and federal financial aid that makes a university education an option for many families. As a result, members of the Define American Chapter at UNL, with the great help of Dr. Juan Franco, whom he may rest in peace, worked to make this scholarship a reality.
The qualifications for the scholarships:
• Not qualified for financial aid
• High school GPA of 2.5 or higher
• College GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Must be enrolled or plan to enroll at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Link to apply: https://go.unl.edu/francoscholarship

If you have any questions regarding the scholarship, reach out to Emy Kata at ekata@unl.edu
