Family Service Lincoln is a local non-profit, Helping Families Thrive, for the past 130 yrs! We are currently hiring Fall Interns and would love to get the word out! Youth Development serves students, Kind-5th grade and their families in 21st LPS schools via Before & After School programs.
Our current interns have majors that include English, Communications, CYFS, Education, Psychology, and even Criminal Justice! Interns get hands on experience in executing lesson plans, behavior modification, speaking to families, and of course having FUN with students in play! In addition, we provide paid trainings that includes CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse & Neglect, Classroom Management, Challenging Behaviors, just to name a few! They also have the opportunity to attend a FSL Board Meeting, sit in on a principal and or parent meeting and even lead programming to grow in their skills! At the end of the experience, we gather to celebrate, which includes taking headshots should interns want photos for their employment portfolios.
