The Hult Prize is a global social impact competition that challenges students to develop innovative solutions to pressing social and environmental problems. While it is often described as a social or environmental impact contest, the range of solutions accepted is very broad.
The Center for Entrepreneurship has agreed to host the qualifiers, which means UNL is guaranteed to send at least one team to the national round in April 2026, expected to be held either in Boston or on the West Coast - location TBD. The Center for Entrepreneurship will also support travel costs for the team that advances, ensuring they have the resources they need to compete successfully. Introducing this opportunity now gives students valuable time to refine their ideas, assemble strong teams, and prepare thoughtful, competitive submissions. The Center for Entrepreneurship will be here to guide teams throughout the process.
Who can participate?
• Student teams of 2 to 4 members.
• At least one team member must be a current UNL student, undergraduate or graduate.
• Teams must register on the Hult Prize website and select University of Nebraska as their institution. https://www.hultprize.org/register
Please take some time to review the information on our campus page, the Hult Prize site and the United Nations Sustainable Goals Development (SDG’s) page, https://sdgs.un.org/goals, to see what kinds of solutions are encouraged.
