Employers look for potential employees who have taken the initiative to get experience and set themselves apart. How can you do this? Some examples are: Join honors societies when invited, advisory boards, ASUN, internships, campus groups, volunteer, look at study abroad, look at opportunities with student involvement. Talk with your advisor for ideas that work for your schedule, and take the initiative to learn more about opportunities that you hear about through newsletters, in classes, in talking with others.
