This is a new edition of Connectivity, an e-newsletter from UNL Information Services. We will use this format to regularly inform the campus of some of the new initiatives and core IT services that IS and others are working on together.

Setting the stage to transform and improve the way we do business are the organizational collaborations that have taken place. We welcome several new colleagues who are sharing dual reporting roles to both IS and their respective college or department. Please join me in welcoming David DeFruiter from the College of Business Administration as Director of Client Services for Information Services, and Kathy Notter from Shared Services who is serving as Director of Systems Administration.

Robert Crisler, Director of Internet & Interactive Media, and his team will share a dual reporting relationship between University Communications and Information Services. Karen Gatherer is taking on a new role as a project director to further document and formalize our disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

It’s an exciting time to be at UNL and it’s also an exciting time to be working in information technology. We look forward to bringing you more issues in the future and welcome your feedback.
