Inspiring words spoken, memories shared and futures imagined—on Tuesday, April 29, the Ubuntu Room at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center became more than just a space. It became a tribute to perseverance, passion, and purpose as OASIS hosted its Spring 2025 Graduation Reception.
This cherished tradition brought together students, families, staff, and supporters to celebrate the achievements of those who have been part of the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services and are now crossing the finish line of their academic journeys.
The event was a moment of reflection and recognition—a chance to pause and honor the time, energy, and resilience it took for each student to reach this milestone. From late-night study sessions to early morning exams, from community events to campus leadership, these graduates have made a lasting mark not only in their classrooms, but in the hearts of those around them.
We are incredibly proud to recognize the following OASIS students graduating this semester:
Sara Al-Rishawi
Janelly Hidalgo

Amara Bryant
Laynee Nauman

“Graduation is not the end, but a new beginning—a launchpad for impact, leadership, and legacy,” said Kerra Russel, OASIS Senior Associate Director. “Wherever you go, go with intention. And always remember—you are part of this community, now and always.”
As tassels turned and cameras clicked, what lingered in the room was more than applause. It was pride. It was hope. And it was the unshakable belief that these graduates are ready to lead, uplift, and transform the world around them.
To our Class of Spring 2025—congratulations. Your story doesn’t end here. It’s just beginning.
