Promote Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity with UCARE

UCARE
UCARE

UCARE provides financial support through stipend-based or hourly Federal Work-Study positions. To be eligible for support, applicants must be full-time, degree-seeking undergraduates with a minimum GPA of 2.75 and between 30 to 120 credits hours. This funding enables undergraduates to propose original research or creative projects, fostering hands-on training and mentor relationships. For example, Luke Keilig, a junior art major mentored by Professor Eddie Dominguez, leveraged UCARE to develop a mosaic project for Bryan Medical Center West Campus that commemorates the community's experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic (https://news.unl.edu/newsrooms/today/article/art-program-helps-veteran-discover-his-passion-after-military-service/).

UCARE accepts applications annually between mid-November and mid-February, with the deadline for the next cycle on February 15, 2024.

On our website, ucare.unl.edu, you will find resources for faculty and staff, including recorded program updates webinars.
