CAST will once again be offering a 0-credit Power Seminar for Transfer Students during the FALL 2024 semester: UGEP 120-070.
This class is open to any transfer student; they do not need to be in their first semester at UNL. For example, this course could be a great way for transfer students who started January 2024 to ease into their first fall semester at UNL. In addition to creating a fantastic cohort, we get folks from all over campus to come chat with the students about different success topics, introduce students to campus resources, and help them create a sense of community on campus. In addition, we have two student peer mentors that interact with the students both in and out of the classroom. See course details below.

Course Description
Exploring individual passion areas and their relation to the purpose for attending college. Discussing on-campus resources, how to navigate both Lincoln campuses, helping to find their purpose for being at Nebraska. Active integration of on- and off-campus experiences to help fully realize individual potential and deepen appreciation of other classroom and co-curricular experiences. Development of leadership and communication skills while giving them a chance to make deep connections with their peers.
