Career Fairs are quickly approaching, and we’d love your help! Here’s a few ways that you can make a difference and enhance the experience for our students and the employers who hire students.

1. Encourage students to attend! The Career Fair Employers By Focus Areas | Career Services | Nebraska is a great listing of employers by fair and career focus to help maximize the time spent at fairs.

2. Come to the fair yourself! This is a great way to support your students who may be nervous about approaching employers. Seeing your friendly face and encouragement means a lot plus you will be better able to describe what attending a career fair looks like for future semesters. You also can visit employers to learn more about their organization and what qualities they seek in applicants.

3. Volunteer for a specific shift! It takes many people to execute such a large event. Volunteers may help by checking in students or employers, directing people to booths and Union amenities, or working with logistics such as parking directions, loading/unloading, or setup/teardown. As a thank you, volunteers will receive a meal voucher as a token of our appreciation!
