Week Without Violence Brown Bag

David DiLillo, Professor, Dept. of Psychology, and Michelle Haikalis, Graduate Student, Dept. of Psychology will be the featured guests for the Week Without Violence Brown Bag Luncheon titled: Bystander Interventions and the Prevention of Violence: Why the Hype?
Drawing on their research at the Trauma, Violence, and Abuse Lab at UNL DiLillo and Haikalis will lead a discussion about bystander interventions, which are proliferating on college campuses. This presentation will help audience members understand what these interventions are and what we currently know about their effectiveness in reducing sexual violence. We will also highlight important next steps for improving bystander interventions.

The event runs from noon - 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the City Campus Union.

To secure a free lunch, please, RSVP by 1 p.m. on October 5th, subject line: Brown Bag. Indicate any dietary restrictions. Also, feel free to bring your own lunch or just come for the conversation.
