The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice as of 11/14/2017 has added another totally online (no campus requirement) section for the CRIM 101 course, Section 703. We welcome all non-criminal justice majors in our introductory course. Did you know CRIM 101 is an ACE 6 Social Science? This is especially a good course for Pre-Law students and many of the Social Science degrees. This course is the only prerequisite for our other CRIM courses.

Course Description: The justice process and the criminal justice system in general. Concepts of crime, deviance and justice, and general theories of crime causality. Individual rights in a democratic society and the legal definitions of various crimes. Law enforcement, judicial, juvenile justice and corrections subsystems explored and a number of reform proposals presented.
