Students from any discipline are invited to participate in a short-term study abroad program over Winter Break in 2018-2019. The College of Business is sponsoring programs to Benin, Australia, and Panama.
Benin: Benin is a small country in Western Africa ripe with development potential. Led by Dr. Kalu Osiri, Director of International Business, students will continue the research and development of a solar powered irrigation center pivot begun by the Spring Break 2018 student group. This project will involve technical research to improve upon the existing design and create a prototype to test in country. Additionally, students will identify a new market potential for one of Benin’s locally grown cash crops and develop an export plan. The group will present their final projects to the Chamber of Commerce at the end of the program.
