Registration is now open for the 6th Annual Academic Advising Association Conference. We hope you will join us on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 8:30am-3:30pm at Nebraska Innovation Campus.
With the landscape of higher education rapidly evolving due to shifting student demographics, technological advances, socio-economic challenges, and education policy reforms, the future of student services is uncertain. Because of this, our 2019 conference theme, “Envisioning the Future: Adapt, Inspire, Transform,” will motivate student affairs professionals to think strategically about the future of higher education and the impact these changes will have on our work. Our conference this year will begin with a keynote by Dr. Linda Baer who focuses on inspiring leaders to improve student success and transform institutions for the future. More about Dr. Baer can be found on our website at https://aaa.unl.edu/2019-aaa-conference.
Our full schedule of presentations, including session abstracts, will be posted on our website by the beginning of February. We are excited for a diverse set of presentations, ranging in topics from Education for a New Technological Revolution, to Trauma-Informed Student Support, to Everyday I’m Hustlin’: The Impact of Side-Gigs on Resilience, Academics, and Career Development.
The registration fees for the conference are $30 for professional staff and faculty, $15 for graduate students, and $10 for undergraduate students.
