Platte Basin Timelapse (PBT) is currently looking for interns to start in late spring.

1) Production Intern

Platte Basin Timelapse (PBT) is currently looking for a new Production Intern to join our team.

Since 2011, the Platte Basin Timelapse project has been telling stories using time-lapse and traditional photography to educate people about where their water comes from, and what it means to live in a watershed today. The PBT team creates innovative multimedia content to tell the myriad stories of the Platte: web-based journalism, combining art and research, STEMbased
educational curriculum for middle and high school science students, and a documentary film for public television.

The production intern plays an important role in processing the PBT images into time-lapse videos. With more than 2,000,000 images the student will be given directed tasks and also creative freedom to create unique time-lapse presentations for our website, our storytelling efforts, social media, exhibits, and more. The student will also have the opportunity to contribute
to PBT's online storytelling efforts.

The intern will be working mostly with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Nikon DSLR cameras, so prior knowledge of these tools is ideal but not necessary.

We will provide any additional training that may be needed through Adobe Creative Cloud and other storytelling applications.

The multisemester internship is paid, minimum wage and a minimum of 10 hours a week.

We are looking for a student who is passionate about water, environmental conservation, educational outreach, and multimedia storytelling.
Some of the qualities we will be looking for in a candidate include; excellent communication skills, self-motivated, eager and willing to learn, creative mind, accountable.

2) Social Media Intern

Platte Basin Timelapse (PBT) is currently looking for a new Social Media Intern to join our team.

Since 2011, the Platte Basin Timelapse project has been telling stories using time-lapse and traditional photography to educate people about where their water comes from, and what it means to live in a watershed today. The PBT team creates innovative multimedia content to tell the myriad stories of the Platte: web-based journalism, combining art and research, STEMbased
educational curriculum for middle and high school science students, and a documentary film for public television.

The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of digital media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. They will use our archive of more than 2,000,000 time-lapse images to create engaging social media posts that are relevant to the message and branding of Platte Basin Timelapse. They will develop a social media strategy and content calendars. They will write, shoot, and edit posts for our social media platforms on a weekly basis.

The intern will be working mostly with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Nikon DSLR cameras, so prior knowledge of these tools is ideal but not necessary.

3) Story Producer Intern

Platte Basin Timelapse (PBT) is currently looking for a new Story Producer Intern to join our team.

Since 2011, the Platte Basin Timelapse project has been telling stories using time-lapse and traditional photography to educate people about where their water comes from, and what it means to live in a watershed today. The PBT team creates innovative multimedia content to tell the myriad stories of the Platte: web-based journalism, combining art and research, STEMbased
educational curriculum for middle and high school science students, and a documentary film for public television.

The ideal applicant will possess strong writing, communication, photography, and videography skills. During the coarse of the internship the student will write, edit and shoot 1-2 robust stories that will help forward PBT's storytelling efforts and will be published on the PBT website. This can
include a film, an ESRI Storymap, a robust photo essay with a written narrative, etc.

The intern will be working mostly with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, so prior knowledge of these tools is required.

We will provide any additional training that may be needed through Adobe Creative Cloud and other storytelling applications.

The multi-semester internship is paid, minimum wage and a minimum of 10 hours a week.

We are looking for a student who is passionate about water, environmental conservation, educational outreach, and multimedia storytelling.

4) News and Events Intern

Since 2011, the Platte Basin Timelapse project has been telling stories using time-lapse and traditional photography to educate people about where their water comes from, and what it means to live in a watershed today. The PBT team creates innovative multimedia content to tell the myriad stories of the Platte: web-based journalism, combining art and research, STEMbased
educational curriculum for middle and high school science students, and a documentary film for public television.

The ideal applicant will possess strong writing and communication skills. Their primary responsibilities will be to update our events page on our website and create engaging newsletters that will be sent out to our followers. Along with the interns primary responsibilities,
they will have opportunity to contribute to the stories page on our website.

The intern will be working mostly with Wordpress, Mailchimp, and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite so prior knowledge of these are ideal but not necessary. We will provide any additional training that may be needed.

The multi-semester internship is paid, minimum wage and a minimum of 10 hours a week. Students in their last semester of school are not encouraged to apply.
