Sheldon Museum of Art is piloting a new initiative this year called “The Convo Project.” In conjunction with the fall exhibition "In Conversation: Black," Sheldon is hosting a juried student competition seeking original creative projects inspired by the color black. Submissions may take the form of any media—visual art, musical composition, writing (poetry or prose), fashion, graphic design, video, architecture, animation, interactive media, cinematic arts, data visualization, or other emerging media. Jurors will review all submissions and award a first prize of $1,000 and a second prize of $500. Winning works will be displayed on the Sheldon's website on December 6th, 2019.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 1st, 2019.
