Winter art sales are Dec. 9-10

Get your holiday shopping done early at the winter art sales organized by students in the University of Nebraska’s School of Art, Art History & Design to sell their work. This year’s winter sales are Friday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Clay Club’s winter sale will take place in Richards Hall Rm. 118. The sale will feature work made by School of Art, Art History and Design graduate and undergraduate ceramics students.

The Clay Club Sale will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate in the School of Art, Art History and Design representing a broad range of makers, aesthetics, techniques and concepts. A raffle will also be held for a chance to win work by graduate students, alumni and faculty.

Proceeds from the sale go to the artists, as well as funding the Clay Club. This student-run organization brings in visiting artists to the community and sends students to national clay conferences.

A concurrent sale will take place in Richards Hall Rm. 110 and will feature work from graduate and undergraduate students in photography, printmaking and painting.

There will be prints, shirts, totes, fiber arts, and more at this semester's sale.

They will also hold a raffle featuring work by graduate students and faculty.

Both sales are open to the public.

Richards Hall is located at Stadium Drive and T streets on the UNL city campus. Public parking is available in the metered stalls just north of Richards Hall or in the Stadium Drive parking garage.
