Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts is accepting applications for our 2023 Spring Curatorial Internship Program. The program will run from February 27-April 28, 2023. Applications are due by February 13, 2023.
The Curatorial Internship Program is designed to provide advanced students (seniors and graduate students) and recent graduates (within a year) in the arts, the humanities, and cultural studies the opportunity to explore editorial and curatorial work in contemporary arts.
The Curatorial Intern will have the opportunity to become acquainted with several aspects of curatorial practice—research, exhibition design and production, public engagement and editorial projects—through a semester-long internship in Omaha.
Working alongside Bemis’s Curator-in-Residence in Omaha and remotely, the Curatorial Intern will gain insight into the daily practice of a professional contemporary art curator working internationally. In addition to collaborating on meaningful, engaging projects at Bemis, the Curatorial Intern will take part in meetings, workshops, public programs, and offsite visits to arts and cultural institutions.
