On October 5 at 5:30 p.m., Christina Fernandez will speak at Sheldon about her art and her exploration of issues related to migration, labor, gender, her Mexican American identity, and the capacities of photography itself. She will be joined in conversation by Laura Muñoz, an assistant professor of history and ethnic studies at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and author of Desert Dreams: Mexican Arizona and the Politics of Educational Equality.
