Summer Courses Open for Registration!

Registration for summer courses is open. There is still space available in several courses and summer is a great time to make some progress on your degree.

Summer classes begin on May 20th with the three-week pre-session (May 20th - June 7th). Pre-session courses include:

WATC257: Beginning Introduction in Watercolor

Technique of watercolor as a medium in interpreting a variety of subjects.
Instructed by Byron Anway.

ARTS398 Special topic in studio art: Street Art II: Mural Masters
Prerequisite: ARTP160

Murals contribute to the social, cultural, and economic factors involved in art in public spaces. This studio art course introduces students to painting large-scale collaborative murals. Students will generate ideas, plan preliminary mural sketches, design compositions, and paint a large-scale mural. Students learn to work with a client, create a visual identity for a business, and design a large-scale public piece. Students will also be scissor lift certified and learn basic transfer methods. Together, our goal is to bring daily life to contemporary art.
*Course takes place in Beatrice for 2 weeks.

GRPH391: Designing Happiness: A Creative Journey to Well-being

Embark on a transformative journey where the worlds of graphic design and well-being converge. This course is a unique exploration of the symbiotic relationship between creative expression and personal joy. Through a combination of insightful lessons, practical exercises, and hands-on design projects, students will discover how design can be used to infuse positivity into the community, thereby enhancing both collective well-being and their own individual fulfillment.
