We invite our undergraduate students to participate in an important part of our accreditation process!
On Thursday, October 24th, at 1:30 p.m. in the Drawing Room (RH 112), there will be a meeting for our NASAD (National Association of Schools of Art and Design) accreditation visitors to speak exclusively with our undergraduate students. Your participation is vital to ensuring we continue to meet the high standards required for NASAD accreditation, and we encourage as many students as possible to attend.
This visit, which happens only once every ten years, is an essential part of our accreditation renewal process. The visitors will be on campus from October 23rd to 25th, and you may see them in your classes during that time.
You may have heard the terms 'NASAD' and 'accreditation' recently, but what do they mean?
NASAD is an organization that establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees in art and design, as well as related disciplines. It also provides guidance to institutions and individuals engaged in artistic, scholarly, and educational endeavors.
Accreditation is the process through which an association or agency recognizes an institution as meeting specific qualifications or standards. NASAD accreditation focuses on two key areas: educational quality and institutional probity. This ensures that our institution not only provides the educational services it promises but also adheres to its own operational procedures.
By attending this meeting, you will have the opportunity to share your perspective and help NASAD understand the student experience at our school.
