Curated by Michael Villarreal and Rosana Ybarra, Conduit is a group exhibition with three artists whose work acts as a conduit. Temporary moments become an agent for residual material output. A screen capture as archival image, a memory as solid object, a hybrid of old and new technology as a cultural artifact. Where a border is not a line but a liminal space that changes the identification of what is on either side. Citizen, immigrant, voyeur, on-line companion. Delineation of categories becomes secondary to the mutability of in-betweens. The exhibition will be on display October 7th-30th at Tugboat Gallery, 116 N 14th St, Lincoln, NE.
