• Nov. 28: UNL/LPS String Project Performance. 6 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Free and open to the public. The UNL/LPS String Project is a joint effort between the Glenn Korff School of Music at UNL and Lincoln Public Schools. It is an after-school teacher-training program that gives children the opportunity to begin playing a stringed instrument before they start in their school. It also affords the same opportunity to students who are home-schooled or who attend private or parochial schools that may not have string programs, as well as students who live in outlying areas.

• Nov. 29: Symphonic Band Performance. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets for the concert are $10 general admission, $5 seniors, Free for UNL students, faculty and staff and children 12 and under, and are available at the door. • Nov. 30: Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Lecture: Aaron Spangler. 5:30 p.m. Richards Hall Rm. 15. Free and open to the public. Spangler is a sculptor and printmaker best known for monumental carved wooden sculptures and for contemporizing the traditional art of bas relief.

• Nov. 30: Wind Ensemble Performance. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets for the concert are $10 general admission, $5 seniors, Free for UNL students, faculty and staff and children 12 and under, and are available at the door. • Dec. 1-4: Theatrix presents "Somewhere: A Primer for the End of Days." Performances are Dec. 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Lab Theatre, 3rd floor Temple Building. Tickets are available online only at https://go.unl.edu/theatrixtix.

• Dec. 2-3: Student Dance Project. 7:30 p.m. each night. Studio Theatre, 1st floor of the Temple Building. The annual Student Dance Project is a program of original work by student choreographers in the Glenn Korff School of Music’s dance program. Following the Dec. 3 performance, the Dance Alumni Board is hosting a casual get together for dance alumni at Barrymore's, located at 124 N 13th St. in Lincoln.

• Dec. 4: Welcome All Wonders. 3 and 7:30 p.m. Newman Center, 320 N. 16th St. Free and open to the public. Five choirs from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music will combine for their annual massed, surround-sound holiday concert. The University of Nebraska’s flagship choral ensemble, University Singers, plus the Chamber Singers, the Varsity Chorus (Men), the University Chorale (women), the All- Collegiate Chorus, brass, percussion, and pipe organ will perform familiar carols and also carols from all remote places of the globe. The family-friendly event will also include numerous audience sing-alongs with traditional holiday carols.

• Dec. 6: Cornhusker Marching Band Highlights Concert. 7:30 p.m. Lied Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are $20 adults and $10 students/seniors and are available from the Lied Center Box Office at (402) 472-4747 or https://www.liedcenter.org/event/cornhusker-marching-band-highlights-concert-2. It’s show time as the Cornhusker Marching Band Highlights Concert returns to the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Come experience the sights and sounds of the Pride of all Nebraska as they perform halftime shows from the 2022 season, their Pregame Spectacular, and much more.

Campus Orchestra is the string players’ counterpart to the other Glenn Korff School of Music ensembles that do not require auditions and include non-majors.

• Dec. 9-10: School of Art, Art History & Design Winter Art Sales. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. The Clay Club Sale will take place in Richards Hall Rm. 118. The Clay Club Sale will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate in the School of Art, Art History and Design representing a broad range of makers, aesthetics, techniques and concepts. A raffle will also be held for a chance to win work by graduate students, alumni and faculty. A concurrent sale will be held in Richards Hall Rm. 110 featuring work from graduate and undergraduate students in photo, printmaking and painting. There will be prints, shirts, totes, fiber arts and more at this semester's sale.

• Dec. 10: UNL Opera presents "Amahl and the Night Visitors." 1:30 and 3 p.m. Studio Theatre, 1st floor Temple Building. Free and open to the public, but free tickets are required due to space limitations. Reserve your free tickets in advance at https://go.unl.edu/GKSOMtickets. The tradition continues. Three mysterious Kings arrive at the home of a poor mother and her son. This heartwarming story of kindness, generosity, and miracles will be the perfect start to the holiday season for the entire family.

• Dec. 12-16 Capstone Exhibition. Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. A closing reception will be held Friday, Dec. 16 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public. The Capstone Exhibition presents the work of this semester's graduating Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts seniors in studio art and graphic design as a culmination of their coursework and exploration.
