This year’s season includes:

• “Hard-Wired Wonderland,” an interactive exhibition created by Assistant Professor of Practice in Emerging Media Arts Jinku Kim. Sept. 11-22 in the Studio Theatre. “Hard-Wired Wonderland invites participants into a mesmerizing blend of art and technology. Kim explores the intersection of the digital and physical worlds by guiding audiences through a sensory journey focusing on the elements of sight, sound and motion. • “The Importance of Being Earnest,” written by Oscar Wilde and directed by Ian Borden. Oct. 3-13 in the Howell Theatre. This Oscar Wilde classic is a witty and satirical comedy that pokes fun at Victorian norms and values. Set in London, the play follows the escapades of two young gentlemen who create fictional identities to escape their social obligations.

• “POTUS,” written by Selina Fillinger and directed by Lori Adams. Nov. 14-24 in the Studio Theatre. “POTUS” provides a compelling glimpse into the corridors of power within the White House, where ambition and idealism collide. Set against the backdrop of a presidency in turmoil, the play reveals the high-stakes decisions the staff must make to navigate through crises while maintaining alliances and protecting their legacies. Contains adult language.

• “Shakespeare’s R&J,” written and directed by Joe Calarco. Feb. 27-March 9 in the Studio Theatre. Joe Calarco directs his adaptation of Shakespeare's “Romeo and Juliet.” This innovative retelling reframes the timeless tragedy within the context of a Catholic boys' school, exploring themes of sexual identity, love, and societal expectations amidst the strict confines of an all-male environment. Contains adult themes.

• “Urinetown,” produced in association with UNL Opera. Directed by Ann Marie Pollard. Music by Mark Hollmann, lyrics by Hollmann and Greg Kotis, and book by Kotis. “Urinetown: The Musical” is a darkly comedic satire that lampoons corporate greed, social responsibility, and the legal system in a dystopian future where water scarcity has led to a ban on private toilets. With irreverent humor and a tongue-in-cheek narrative, ”Urinetown” celebrates the resilience of the human spirit in the face of absurdity.
