The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design presents the work of graduating graphic design and studio art students in the Spring 2026 Capstone Exhibitions in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall.
The Graphic Design Capstone Exhibition will continue through April 24 with a closing reception on Friday, April 24 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery. The Studio Art Capstone Exhibition will run May 4-8 with a closing reception on Friday, May 8 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.
These biannual capstone exhibitions are held at the end of the fall and spring semesters and present the work of each semester’s graduating Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) seniors in studio art and graphic design as a culmination of their coursework and exploration.
Regular gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

“Completing my capstone allowed me to reflect upon and deploy what I’ve learned during my time as a student and to expand my capacity as an artist,” Dirrim said.
Schroeder said the Capstone Exhibition was motivating to him.
“The size of this semester’s Capstone has been quite motivating for me, especially with getting ot share the space with incredible artists such as my peers,” he said. “But with that, there is sure to be a piece that resonates with every viewer who walks through those gallery doors.”
Nigh said the Capstone helps bring together everything students have worked on during their time in college.
“From the classes we’ve taken, the techniques we’ve learned, and the hours we’ve spent in the studio, all of it can be seen within our work,” she said. “The show is a look into our growth as artists, and by attending, you’ll hopefully find a sense of our experiences and time spent here at UNL.”
Montague said the Capstone isn’t just an ending for these artists.
“For me, art is about pushing yourself further and becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable,” she said. “This Capstone class is full of artists who consistently push through boundaries, making this show less symbolic of an end, but rather an indication of another barrier being broken.”
The Eisentrager-Howard Gallery is located on the first floor of Richards Hall at Stadium Drive and T streets. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
