Feb. 1-6: Faculty and Staff Exhibition continues in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall.

Feb. 2-6: "An(other)," an exhibition of work by members of the Fine Arts Photo Club in coordination with Lincoln Photofest. MEDICI Gallery, first floor of Richards Hall. A closing reception will be held on First Friday, Feb. 6 from 6-8 p.m.

Feb. 3: John Bailey, flute. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Free. Bailey will be assisted by Hixson-Lied Professor of Piano Mark Clinton. The program includes the Sonatine for flute and piano by pianist and composer Walter Gieseking. In honor of UNL acquiring the newly published complete works of Theobald Bohm, flutist and inventor of the modern flute, Bailey and Clinton will perform his Variations on a German Air, Op. 22, on the well-known song "Du, du, liegst mir im Herzen." Also on the program is the rarely heard Scotch Pastoral by British composer Cyril Scott, and the single-movement Sinfonische Kanzone by Sigfrid Karg-Elert, professor of composition at the Leipzig Conservatory. Voice for solo flute, by Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu, rounds out the program.

Feb. 4: Chiara String Quartet. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets: $20 adults, $10 seniors and $5 for students. The spring concerts are also part of the Hixson-Lied Concert Seires from the Chiara String Quartet. Any two concerts are $35 adults, $16 seniors and $8 for students; Any three concerts are $40 adults, $20 seniors and $10 students. Feb. 5: Kevin Hanrahan and Jamie Reimer. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets: $5 general and $3 for students/seniors. This event will also be webcast. Hanrahan and Reimer will collaborate with guest pianist Matthew Larson in a vocal recital of German Lieder by Robert and CLara Schumann.

Edwards, Neil Christensen, Bill Ganzel, Paul Brokering, Kristin Pluhacek, Tom Prinz, Therman Statom, Judith Andre, Brad Krieger and Ray Tadduci. The MEDICI fund-raising event is Thursday, Feb. 26. Feb. 26-28 and March 1: Theatrix presents "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)." Feb. 26-28 at 7:30 p.m. and March 1 at 2 p.m. in the Lab Theatre, third floor of the Temple Building. By Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield. Directed by Brittanie Witter. A madcap romp through all of Shakespeare's comedies, histories and tragedies. All 37 plays in 97 minutes.
