Check out these stories on our alumni:

• The Skyros Quartet (Sarah Pizzichemi and James Moat, violins; Justin Kurys, viola; and William Braun, cello) have relocated to Seattle, Washington. They will serve as principals for the Seattle Collaborative Orchestra's first concert on Nov. 18. They also have visits planned to the University of Victoria and the Lafayette String Quartet in British Columbia on Oct. 27. They released their debut album, "Introspective Odyssey" on Aug. 14. The CD is available on iTunes and Amazon and can be streamed on Spotify. Pizzichemi and Braun graduated from UNL last May.

• Sade Ayorinde (M.A. 2014) is beginning her first year of doctoral studies in the Department of the History of Art and Visual Studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.

• Bailey Barnard (M.A. 2011) is beginning her second year of doctoral studies in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University in New York City.

• Alicia Harris (M.A. 2013) is beginning her doctoral studies studies at the University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History.

• Catherine Meier (BFA 2005) has an exhibition of her work titled "This Big Land: Catherine Meier" on display at the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney through Nov. 29. She also has an exhibition at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, which opened Oct. 15. And as part of her 2013 McKnight Fellowship, she created a limited edition artist book, "Sage Creek," which is on display at the Minneapolis exhibition. Learn more at http://www.catherinemeier.com.

• Kimberly Minor (M.A. 2011) is completing her Ph.D. in the Department of Art History at the University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History.

• Shana O'Connell (B.A. 2007), completed her Ph.D. in Art History at Johns Hopkins Department of the History of Art last spring. She is teaching this year in the classics department at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

• Jessica Williams (B.A. 2010) is in her second year of doctoral studies in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University. She completed her M.A. at the University of Maryland in 2013.
