Did you know that undergraduate and graduate majors in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts have the opportunity to apply for funding support from grant programs available through the Hixson-Lied Endowment?

Two informational sessions have been scheduled for Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts students to learn more about applying for Hixson-Lied student grants.

Associate Dean Christopher Marks will give a short overview of the student grants available and then answer questions.

The two sessions are:

• Friday, Feb. 3 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Temple Building Rm. 104.

• Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 5-6 p.m. in Westbrook Rm. 114.

Available student grants to be covered in these informational sessions include Student Study Grants (International or Domestic), Student Presentation of Scholarly/Creative Activity Grants, and Undergraduate and Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grants.

The first deadline for grant applications is March 3 for the summer or fall term.

The college's $18 million Hixson-Lied Endowment distributes more than $200,000 annually for student creative projects and travel, scholarships and fellowships, guest lecture/artists series, study abroad, extracurricular projects and learning opportunities provided through the Lied Center for Performing Arts and Sheldon Museum of Art.
