• Nov. 28: Honors ChamberFest. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Free. This concert will also be live webcast. Please visit https://arts.unl.edu/music/webcasts the day of the concert for the link.

• Nov. 28: UNL/LPS String Project. 6 p.m. Park Middle School in Lincoln. The String Project is an after-school teacher-training program that gives children the opportunity to begin playing a stringed instrument before they start playing in their school.

• Nov. 29: Creative Minds Mental Health Forum. 7 p.m. Studio Theatre (1st floor Temple Building). The forum will feature a panel discussion between student representatives from music, dance, theatre, film, art, architecture and journalism. The goal of this event is to spark a conversation about the specific stressors students experience when engaged in creative practice and how campus mental health resources could be improved to address the specific needs of "creative minds." Sponsored by the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts undergraduate student advisory board, in conjunction with ASUN senators and student advisory boards from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and College of Architecture.

• Nov. 29: Cornhusker Marching Band Highlights Concert. 7:30 p.m. Lied Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are $20 adults and $10 seniors/students. For advance tickets, contact the Lied Center Box Office at (402) 472-4747. It’s show time as the Cornhusker Marching Band Highlights Concert returns to the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Come experience the sights and sounds of the Pride of all Nebraska as they perform halftime shows from the 2018 season, their Pregame Spectacular and much more.

• Nov. 30 & Dec. 1: Student Dance Project. 7:30 p.m. Mabel Lee Hall Rm. 304/310. Tickets: $5 general and $3 students/seniors, available at the door. This is the 14th Annual Student Dance Project and is directed by Susan Ourada. The program features original work by student choreographers.

• Dec. 2: Welcome All Wonders. Performances at 3 & 7:30 p.m. Newman Center, 320 N. 16th St. in Lincoln. Free and open to the public. Five of the traditional choirs from the Glenn Korff School of Music, plus a guest choir, will combine for this holiday concert. University Singers, Chamber Singers, the Varsity Chorus, the University Chorale, the All-Collegiate Chorus and a guest choir will all perform familiar carols, as well as carols from all remote places of the globe.

• Dec. 3: Campus Orchestra. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets are $5 general and $3 students/seniors and are available at the door.

• Dec. 4: Guest Artist: Carter Pann, composer. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Free and open to the public. Composer/pianist Carter Pann has written for—and worked alongside—musicians from around the world, including performances by the London Symphony and City of Birmingham Symphony, the Tchaikovsky Symphony in Moscow, radio symphonies around Europe, the Seattle Symphony, the National Repertory Orchestra, youth orchestras of New York and Chicago, and many wind ensembles.

• Dec. 4: "The Healing of Harman" Screening and Q&A. 7:30 p.m. Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. Free admission, but seating is limited. This special screening and reception to follow celebrates the third film in the Carson Film Series, "The Healing of Harman," a film about hope, faith and forgiveness.

• Dec. 5: Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) Lecture: Professor Michael Hoff. 5:30 p.m. Richards Hall Rm. 15. Free and open to the public. Hoff's lecture is titled "Mosaics, Baths and Pirate Treasure: The Excavations at Antiochia ad Cragum in Asia Minor." Hoff specializes in Greek and Roman archaeology in which he conducts his research on the archaeology of Asia Minor. Hoff currently conducts research in Turkey where from 1997 to 2004 he co-directed the architectural survey team of the Rough Cilicia Archaeological Survey Project, and since 2005, serves as Project Director of the Antiochia ad Cragum Excavations in Rough Cilicia on the southern coast of Turkey.

• Dec. 5: Wind Ensemble: "Precision and Pandemonium." 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets are $5 general and $3 students/seniors and are available at the door. The second concert of the Wind Ensemble’s 2018-2019 season celebrates the works of Carter Pann who will be in residence at the Glenn Korff School of Music the first week of December. There will be a pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m. in the lower lobby of Kimball Hall. Professors Carolyn Barber and Greg Simon will lead a discussion with Pann on his compositions, his artistic philosophy and his approach to writing music. There will be opportunity for questions from audience members and a brief meet-and-greet with Pann.

• Dec. 6: Symphonic Band. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets are $5 general and $3 students/seniors and are available at the door.

• Dec. 7: Musical Theatre Showcase. 7:30 p.m. Westbrook Music Building Rm. 119. Free and open to the public. If you love musical theatre, the Musical Theatre Showcase night is not to be missed. Scenes from both classic and more contemporary musicals will be performed in a free performance by Nebraska’s award-winning musical theatre students in the Glenn Korff School of Music.

• Dec. 7-14: Capstone Exhibition. Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. A closing reception will be held on Friday, Dec. 14 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. This exhibition features the work of graduating undergraduate studio art and graphic design students from the School of Art, Art History & Design.

• Dec. 8: Glenn Korff School of Music Opera presents "Amahl and the Night Visitors." 1:30 and 3 p.m. Studio Theatre in Temple Building. Free and open to the public. The tradition continues. Three mysterious Kings arrive at the home of a poor mother and her son. This heartwarming story of kindness, generosity and miracles will be the perfect start to the holiday season for the entire family.

• Dec. 13-16: Nebraska Repertory Theatre presents "The Holiday Cabaret." Performances are Dec. 13-15 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. in the Temple Building.
