Aaron Copland’s quintessential American opera resonates with a musical language born out of our great midwestern landscapes. Taking place in a Depression era rural community, this tune-filled opera depicts the life of a young girl, her family, and two migrant workers in a coming-of-age story sure to tug at your heartstrings.

This University of Nebraska-Lincoln production is made possible by a major gift from the James C. and Rhonda Seacrest Tour Nebraska Opera Fund.
