Graduate students in the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design will be hosting an Open Studios event on Friday, Oct. 20 from 5-7 p.m. in Richards Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
Open Studios is an opportunity for the public to explore the creative studios of artists in the MFA program, who are working in ceramics, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography and social practice. Visitors will have the chance to see developing artworks in progress, to ask questions about processes and ideas and to make personal connections with artists whose work moves them.
Refreshments will be served. Raffle tickets will be sold for artworks donated by MFA candidates, which raises funds for upcoming thesis exhibitions in the spring.
Richards Hall is located at the corner of Stadium Dr and T sts. on the university’s city campus.
