The “2018 MACAA Members Exhibition” is on display Oct. 3 through Oct. 19 in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. The reception is free and open to the public.

Technology has art and craft at its root (techne). Techne Expanding will explore wide-ranging interpretations of technology—highlighting its use and impact on the teaching, making, and performing art as well as the broader human experience. The conference will examine how we embrace or resist technology, how we celebrate or critique it, and consider its promise as well as its limits.

The works included in this exhibition were juried by interdisciplinary artist, writer and educator Anthony Hawley—a former lecturer in the School of Art, Art History & Design.

The 10 artists showing work are:
A.P. Vague
Carlos Rene Pacheco
Chung-Fan Chang
David Sanchez Burr
Ellen Mueller
Eric Zeigler
Guen Montgomery
Joo Kim
Karen Gergely
