WHERE AM I EMPLOYED? - I am employed at the Lancaster County Attorney's Office in the Child Support Division.

MY TITLE/POSITION? - My title is Deputy County Attorney.

HOW I FOUND THIS JOB? - I found this job through the Career Services Office. TheCSO e-mailed me about the opening on July 17th and I pursued it from there with their help.

HOW/WHEN THE EMPLOYER CONTACTED ME REGARDING AN INTERVIEW? - The County Attorney's office contacted me on July 18th via telephone and said they were interested in an interview, but thought I should probably focus on the bar exam for the next 6 days and contact them about an interview once the exam was over. I agreed and we decided that I would call the County Attorney's office after the bar exam and set up an interview. I called them the day after the bar and we set up an interview.

HOW I RESEARCHED THE EMPLOYER BEFORE THE INTERVIEW - I used several different tactics. 1-Emailed people I knew who had clerked/worked with the County Attorney's Office and asked if they had any insight. 2-Asked the CSO for any information she had about the office. 3-Reviewed the things I had learned about the office in Crim Clinic. 4-Googled it.

WERE THERE PARTICULAR THINGS THAT WE DISCUSSED IN THE INTERVIEW THAT HELPED ME GET THE JOB OFFER? - The office was just a good fit for me on both a personal and professional level, so the interview went pretty smoothly. I can't point to a single moment or topic as being crucial, but it definitely felt like we were in lockstep on several important issues. Basically, they wanted to know if I could do the work and if I would stick around. Luckily, I had taken Crim Clinic, so I had at least some practical experience with the the type of work performed in the office and I have always wanted to be a prosecutor, so sticking around wasn't an issue either.

JOB OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE - At the interview, they let me know that they would be making a decision within the week. A few days later, I got a call from the Lancaster County Attorney and he offered me the job. I immediately accepted and told him how happy I was to come to work for him. Honestly, I think he was a little put off by how ecstatic I was, but I could hardly contain my excitement. I started work a few weeks later and now I am in training just waiting to get sworn in.
