
EVENT TITLE: Pathways to Careers at NASA: Subject Matter Experts involved in Lunar Science & Exploration
DATE: Tuesday, September 30 from 1pm -2:15pm Eastern (12 – 1:15pm Central; 11 – 12:15pm Mountain; 10-11:15am Pacific).
DESCRIPTION: Curious about pathways to STEM careers at NASA? Join this FREE NASA Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science (ARES) webinar (targeting educator-led student groups, college students and professors, and formal/informal educators) as subject matter experts (SMEs) Sara Schmidt, Juliane Gross, and Trevor Graff share their career pathways. Learn about their backgrounds, hobbies and interests, educational and professional journeys including their work with NASA lunar science and exploration, and more! Additionally, hear their reflections about the Moon as we look ahead to the annual celebration of our Moon during International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN on 10/4). SME presentations will be followed by an optional ~20 minutes of Q&A.

WEBINAR RESOURCE COMING SOON: To engage learners during the event and/or as they watch the archive, we will be preparing a career pathway hexagon “foldable” resource (see preview images below for context) that will be designed to encourage learners to create/sketch a SME summary career pathway highlight and even design their own future career aspiration hexagon. Resource will be shared with registrants prior to the webinar event.
