The Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC will be hosting its annual Student Summer Research Program in San Diego, CA, June 15, 2026 – August 7, 2026. This 8-week, full-time, mentor-guided program offers opportunities for hands-on research experience as well as wet-lab experience (example below and attached).

Neuroscience Translational Research Division
This Division houses wet lab and pre-clinical research and takes on summer interns at the undergraduate and graduate level that are interested in projects in 1) blood-based biomarkers for Alzheimer’s Disease, 2) vascular and immune system contributions to Alzheimer’s Disease, or 3) therapeutic development in disease models.

The program’s goal is to support highly motivated students who are interested in exploring careers in Alzheimer’s Disease clinical trials research or clinical research in general. We are especially committed to broadening our national outreach and engaging students from institutions that have not previously applied or participated. Would you be willing to distribute our Request for Applications to your students? The official document for the undergraduate track is attached.
