Emily Bender, graduate student in BSE, and Rachel Morford, a BSE alum, were both selected for the 2017 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Fellowship.
The NSF selected three current NU students. In addition to Ms. Bender, fellowships were also awarded to Melanie Fessinger in Social Psychology at UNL and Chase Rock in Biomechanics at UNO.
From the NSF website, “The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions.”
