Yufeng Ge is the lead PI on a successful grant entitled, "VisNIR-Based Multi-Sensing Penetrometer for in situ High Resolution Depth Sensing of Soils" from the USDA-NIFA. This $499,896 grant includes Nuwan K. Wijewardane, Geng (Frank) Bai, and Alan Bolt, who can be seen testing the prototype multi-sensing soil penetrometer in Roger's Memorial Farm
